25 years ofcommercial roofingexperience

VG3 Consulting works with manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and project teams on the practical side of commercial roofing: products and systems, sourcing, sales support, and keeping a roofing scope coordinated from quote to close-out.

  • Commercial, industrial, residential

Scope

VG3 Consulting is a consulting and project-support firm. We are not a roofing contractor, and we do not install, repair, or warrant roofing systems. What we bring is 25 years of working alongside the people who do.

Services

What VG3 does

Three lines of work, kept broad on purpose. Most engagements start with a question about a product, a supplier, or a scope that is not moving.

Who we work with

Across the supply chain

A roof is made, stocked, specified, installed, and paid for by five different parties who do not always talk to each other. VG3 works with all of them.

Experience

Division 07, thermal and moisture protection

Twenty-five years inside the roofing supply chain

VG3 was founded on a quarter century spent on the supply side of commercial roofing: with the manufacturers who build the products, the distributors who stock them, the sales teams who sell them, and the contractors who put them on buildings.

That time is worth something specific. It is knowing which products actually ship on the schedule they promise, who to call when a submittal stalls, what a detail costs to build the way it is drawn, and which questions are worth asking before a roofing scope is priced rather than after.

Relationships are most of it. The roofing industry is small enough that the same names come back around, and long enough in the tooth that reputation still moves faster than any pitch.

Commercial and industrial work is the center of gravity. Residential runs through the same manufacturers, the same distributors, and often the same contractors, so it is in range as well.

About

VG3 Consulting LLC

VG3 Consulting is a roofing consulting and project-support firm based in Idaho, founded by Virgil E. Gehrts III after 25 years working with roofing suppliers, sales teams, contractors, manufacturers, and both commercial and residential projects.

The work is deliberately broad. Some of it is product and system advice, some is helping a manufacturer or distributor reach the trade, and some is simply staying on top of a roofing scope until it is closed out. If it sits between a roofing product and a building, it is probably in range.

VG3 is a young company built on a long career, and it is growing carefully. If you have a roofing question and are not sure who to ask, that is a good reason to get in touch.
